Midas
Midas challenged us to take a step away from their Midas King and “Golden Touch” slogan when promoting their summer deals to drivers.
We focused on talking to road trippers and
how there are no unwanted stops if your first is with Midas.
That is why we made commercials that playfully mislead viewers. The smoke isn’t a car overheating and the pumping is not an attempt to fix a tire… all those usual signs of worry are that of joy since you check your car at Midas. My partner and I conceptualized, storyboarded, and wrote out the scripts for the concepts used to pitch these commercials.
I wanted the animation transition and illustration to metaphorically show that every road trip transforms into a picturesque postcard with Midas. For the campaign, I used the brand’s colors of red, yellow, white, and black for just messaging which also popped against the calming road trip scene that was built in blue and green. The smooth simple lines are like that of your road trip with Midas.

To make family trips smoother, we made a road trip starter pack that included a coloring book for everyone who visited before their trip.







I designed and illustrated the whole book. While featuring Midas, we used elements of children's activity books to make it engaging for kids. This honestly was super fun to create and my favorite part of the campaign as it brought joy to the kids of Midas customers.
